WHO WE ARE TEAM ATIL ERKEN GENERAL PARTNER Atil started his career at Andersen Consulting. He has held senior management roles at Washington Post Newsweek Interactive, HealthCentral (acquired) and has deep expertise in building and growing companies, fundraising and acquisitions. As an entrepreneur, Atil founded ventures that build web/mobile solutions for consumers/enterprises. He advises two New York-based incubators and has a track record of investing in successful early-stage ventures. Atil holds an MBA from Duke and has a continuously decreasing standup comedy audience. SILA ÇELİK GENERAL PARTNER Sila started her career at RTL DISNEY where she built online paid platforms. She has deep experience in digital media, focusing on scalability, marketing and revenues. Sila was part of the senior team at JumpTV, an online video startup that did a $150M IPO. She founded The Chess Group, a consulting practice, serving startups and clients like RTL Interactive, MTV Networks and Dogan Online, the largest internet conglomerate in Turkey. She is a graduate of University of Cologne and Haribo's number one fan. CEVDET NUHRAT JEDI MASTER Cevdet started his career as a software architect. Before helping incubate technology solutions for the Technology Holding, he stayed in Seattle to help startups. He then assisted the development of online cars and real estate classifieds platform for Hurriyet Internet group and was the tech lead for Turkey's top online retailer Modagram. Cevdet received his BSc in computer engineering from Bilkent Texas Tech and is the proud father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. CEREN SAKIZLI DESIGN LEAD Ceren has over seven years of experience in service design, user experience design, interaction design and use research. She started her career at Salesforce.com in San Francisco. After that, she worked at the service design agency Fjord in Berlin, then helped to setup Fjord in Istanbul. She designed cross platform digital services for clients such as Turkcell, Garanti Bank and Isbank. She holds a BSc in computer engineering from Koc University and a MSc in human computer interaction from Carnegie Mellon. Ceren has the ultimate ability to injure herself with or without the presence of a shark. EMİR TÜMEN ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE Emir recently worked at Bain in Zurich focusing on strategy private equity. Prior to Bain, he worked at Apple and Grundig in hardware engineering. Emir is an early stage investor in and co-developed the business plan for annelutfen.com, the leading e-commerce platform for moms kids in Turkey. He has deep expertise in opportunity assessment, modeling and strategy. Emir received his BS in electrical engineering from University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Stanford. He keeps making lousy attempts at writing fiction during the time left over from his TV series marathons. PINAR RAMSAY ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE Pinar started her career taking part in launching the online trading platform for Finansinvest. She later found her calling in textiles and specialized in business development and procurement for the Turkmen Group. Most recently, Pinar led buying for all fashion brands for Turkey's top online retailer Modagram, sister company of Trendyol (backed by Kleiner Perkins). Pinar received her BSc in Business from Koc. A natural born race car driver, she excels in left foot breaking. CEM KURTULUŞ DEVOPS Cem has over four years of experience in software development. He started his career at EMS software, developing integrated software solutions for ERP systems. He continued his career at Trimix Creative Solutions as a software development specialist. Prior to Collective Spark, he was at e-commerce businesses Alwaysfashion and Modagram. He obtained his BSc in electronic computer science from Sakarya University. HAKAN GÜNAY DEVOPS Hakan started his career at Mekom Computers as a software developer. He continued at Belge Turk as junior software specialist and afterwards joined Dogan Holding and worked as a software development specialist at Hurriyet cars real estate classifieds. Prior to Collective Spark, he was at Modagram, an e-commerce startup. Hakan obtained his BSc in computer engineering and MSc in information management systems from Halic University. NESRİN AKPINAR ACCOUNTING SUPPORT Nesrin has over ten years of work experience in accounting, legal compliance regarding accounting matters, operations and controlling. She started her career at Kutay Dis Ticaret to later continue at Ipekyol Giyim, a fashion brand. There, she played an active role in overseeing credit card transactions. Post Ipekyol, she continued her career at Mobile Ventures Group, a telecom startup. Nesrin completed her higher education at AOF in business administration. It is rumored that Benjamin Button movie is inspired after her getting younger every day. VENTURE PARTNERS / ADVISORS ANDREJ HENKLER MUNICH Andrej is a serial entrepreneur active entrepreneurial investor. He served as the right hand of the CEO of Bertelsmann Group and led the turnaround of VOX. Andrej founded and exited several companies in the Media space and is currently managing a portfolio of over two dozen companies such as Evernote, Palantir, Robotex, Node Prime, Taulia, Vidyo, Leeo,, CapLinked, Spectrum Investments, Starting DOT, AIMED Capital, CCP, Blue Sky, Travelnuts, VItafy, Kollabora, InternMatch. Henkler received his BA from Institut d'Etudes de Sciences Politiques, Paris. SEÇİL BAYSAL LOS ANGELES Secil is an entrepreneur/investor focusing on disruptive credit/payment businesses. He started at McKinsey working with banking clients in Istanbul, Paris, Milan. Secil joined Capital One as the chief of staff to the co-founder and ran the credit business for underserved. He was part of the senior team at Green Dot, a prepaid business with $6B in transactions and took it to a $1B IPO. He started US markets for Skrill, an on-line payments company and Wonga, a lending platform with big-data underwriting. Secil is the COO at FastPay, a next generation lender. He holds an MBA from Harvard. MATTHEW MILNER NEW YORK Matt is a media technology executive with a history of entrepreneurial success, having founded and sold tech companies to giants like Hearst. He started his career in sales trading at Lehman Brothers. Matt is currently the Managing Partner of Buttonwood Ventures, where he builds financial media and technology ventures and a co-founder of Crowdability, a provider of investment research on equity crowdfunding. Matt received his BA from Cornell and holds an MBA from Kellogg. HAKKI GÖKTAŞ BUDAPEST Hakki started his career as a consultant at PWC Deloitte, focusing on CRM. He was the GM of Netbul Noktalar, focusing on web/mobile. Hakki exited angel VC-backed ventures, including Turkey's first digital music store (JV with Shazam) and a music based social network, Soundklan. He founded LeFood, an online food delivery network and Napideal, (JV with Grupanya backed by Intel). He co-founded Green Travel, a large tour operator in Hungary. Hakki received his BA from ODTU.
